BREAKING NEWS: Calling all Wordpress Blog Owners

About me

I am self taught and have closely followed the evolution of Internet Marketing for just over five years. On average I personally answer around six hundred questions about Internet Marketing through my blog every week. Naturally my work gives me a modest income but I have a genuine reason for doing what I do and this is to help people who are genuinely attempting to generate cash to support them selves and their families.

From my work I know that probably half of the Internet marketing community are honest people but the issue is a lot of these people are not very good at what they do and teach. Until recently the results of my evaluations have been published on a tiny number of websites whose owners have commissioned me to contribute in return for helping me in my evaluations.

Over Six hundred products tested

Over a five year period I have evaluated more than 600 products and I will only be publishing reviews on products that are still on the market. I have tested all of the products I review and whilst in some cases I know the authors personally this doesn’t dissuade me from telling what I really think about what works well and what doesn’t in each product.

Simple to use and organised index

On my blog I will be dividing the ‘products’ summaries into types, rating each product on the level of knowledge required, stating the prerequisites, how much time you should expect to wait for results and the budget you should set.

First Review - The ‘blueprint’ for Wordpress blog success

Wordpress Blogs are arguably the easiest way to start in Internet Marketing so I am going to begin with a set of reviews of products that can turn these search engine magnets into income makers. Everyone should have a blog and I am passionate about blogging as a major percentage of my ’monthly salary’ comes from blogs but and however I am conscious that setting up a blog can be confusing so if you join my list I will walk you through step by step how to do it.

Create once and replicate

The amazing thing about blogs is once you understand how they really can work and make cash you simply copy the blog mechanics over and over again to multiply your income stream. I have a fundamental rule of ‘getting a rope across the river’ before commencing on any large amount of work so I always start with constructing a prototype that I evolve into a blueprint that I can test, improve and copy, to do this you have to really understand what products and strategies you need to use.

No bullshit, just answers.

So if you own a Wordpress blog or you need some practical and personal help with your purchases of Internet Marketing products then please do sign up to my list at www.backlinksclinic.com.

See you there

Blackjack Strategies: First-class Advice Explained

When you are new to Blackjack you are best of to begin with the basic strategy for Blackjack and also get a correct Blackjack strategy card, that you can have next to you when gambling online.

There are many different techniques for Blackjack used by casual players as well as pros. By following a few simple strategies you can often help improve your chances of winning. Naturally it helps to know the basic rules of Blackjack and its various rulings before you begin, but what betting strategies can you try?

Perhaps the most famous Blackjack strategy is the card counting technique, most casinos have banned this strategy. It’s easy to see why the method gives a player an advantage, since you can narrow down which cards are left in the deck. Knowing which cards have yet to be dealt allows you to adjust your bets accordingly.

There are no casinos that will allow you to keep track of which are no longer in play. Of course, you can keep track of whatever you want in your head, if you are great with numbers and can remember all the cards that have been played - go for it! If memorizing a full deck is beyond your ability, why not apply the technique to a web based casino, and make notes as you go along.

Be extremely careful to understand the rules before you start to play, as varieties exist that will affect the odds. An example of a rule that is important is whether or not you are allowed to split your hand. If splitting is allowed then you occasionally have a real advantage to increase your winnings, but if not you will have a much more difficult time beating the house.

You will also find that not all casinos require the dealer to stand at 17. You’ll have a much harder time winning if the dealer isn’t under the hold at 17 restriction. These are just two cases in point where the slight variation in rulings can have a major impact on the chances you have to win.

But apart from the rule variations which may exist, what strategies can you employ to help make better bets? You will find a large number of strategies for betting on Blackjack, and you look carefully at a number of them before deciding to adopt one. Two of the most popular systems are the Martingale and the Paroli systems.

Blackjack strategies have many commonalities, though both Martingale and Paroli are entirely opposed in principle. You double when you lose under Martingale, returning to a basic bet value when you win. On the other hand, when you use Paroli if you win you double the next bet, and return to the original bet on a loss. The Paroli betting system is focused on trying to exploit winning streaks while the Martingale system is focused on beating losing streaks. Both systems have some flaws. When playing by Martingale you must have a lot of money to gamble with. Say you begin by betting $10 and then lose 7 hands back to back for a total loss of $1270  you now need to bet $1280 on the eight round! Paroli requires a much smaller wallet. Beginning with $10  and loosing seven rounds back to back you will only have lost $70 total.

Though not unlike the other popular techniques, the Parlay method is a somewhat less risky approach. This system works on the idea of incremental wagering, recommending that whenever you win, the next stake should be the original amount plus a percentage of the amount won.

As you place your bets you need to be absolutely sure you have considered the amounts correctly, and you will find that a Blackjack calculator can remove the guesswork. These calculators work by recording all cards dealt so far, and computes the likelihood of subsequent cards, takes the cards you are holding into account. Getting a handle on the odds with comprehensive information can help you make strong moves, making the game much less risky.

However, using calculation techniques won’t work in actual casinos. You shouldn’t even try to bring a calculator or scorecard into a live game. You would very likely be ejected! Of course, you can try to count cards but no devices are allowed.

A few seconds more and you can start winning poker tournaments.

marty smith

Of all the decisions made in poker tournaments, a good number of them are rather easy to make. The truth is, even though numbers and common sense often indicate you should play a hand a certain way , there is much more to our personal make-up that complicates these strategies. In fact, we are programmed to reason using every fiber of our being. The skill then, is to manage the all of the data AND feelings you have about any particular hand and use poker tournament strategy.

Now even though I have often advised to leave your feelings and emotions out of the decision making process, that really isn’t quite right, or plausible. Without contradicting myself too much, there will always be part of your decision process fueled by intuition and emotion - and you know what? There is nothing wrong with that! The thing is, you must always fall back on the 10 second rule when making game critical decisions in poker tournaments. When you are faced with a big decision, just start counting to yourself, don’t ruch for the mouse button.

Important online poker tips might seem obvious, but if you thrust into action or respond without thinking, you will often circumvent deeper wisdom and better solutions. This is also where your intuition and instincts can better serve your objective because it gives you an opportunity to tune into what may be unique about this hand or this opponent. Yes, the 10 seconds can be used to determine your best possible odds and payout strategy, but it can also illuminate an obvious bad situation for you. When you start doing this regularly, you are going to have some key moments that you look back on and say, “Wow I made a great play there”. I recently did this at a final table in an SnG MTT on Full Tilt where I went on to win the tournament. Had I not dropped the hand, I would have finished out of the money as only 6 players got paid.

During those few precious moments use these online poker tips and start asking yourself things like:

What do my true instincts say?
What are the real odds of me having the best hand here?
Can I fold and still have enough left to out-play my opponents?
If I was watching this hand on TV, what would I recommend?
Is this positive EV?

You can just post these questions on stick-it notes by your computer. If you read even 2 or 3 of them in every tough situation I guarantee that you will start winning money in online poker tournaments. The best poker professionals use these online poker tips and combine all of the information - including intuition and instinct to make profitable decisions.

Rake Back – Have the Poker Sites Pay You

For those that haven’t heard of Rake Back let me explain how critical it is to your poker well being. Let’s start off by asking, what is the rake? Basically this is the amount of money that the poker rooms, either online or offline  keep as their cut for hosting the poker game. The rake is basically that small fee that the poker sites charge to run the tournaments. Typically for Sit N Go’s (SNG) or tournaments (MTT) the take is about 10%. Let’s look at an example.

If you play a $10 SNG then usually you will have to pay $1 as the rake fee.  For a $30 MTT the rake would be $3 and so on. Now that you know what the rake is, you can probably guess what the term Rake Back means. In a nutshell it’s a portion, anywhere from 27% to 100% that the poker rooms will give you back for playing at their sites.

Why do the poker sites do this?

As you can probably imagine, the costs associated with running an online poker room are much less than the costs of a regular land casino. These poker sites can offer these types of bonuses to join their sites since their overall expenses are much less than land casinos.

So how much can you expect to get back?

To answer that question it all depends and how much you play, but let’s  look at an example. Let’s say you  play twenty $20 SNG’s per week. The numbers would look something like this:

# of SNG’s :                        20
Rake Paid (Week): $40 ($2 x 20 SNG’s)
Rake Paid (Month): $160 (4 weeks X $40)
Rake Paid (Year):             $1,920 (12 months X $160)

Now if we use a typical Rake Back Deal of 30%, you would get back $576 over the course of a year. That’s pretty awesome since you would be playing these games anyways. Obviously if you play more or less then your numbers will look a little different from this example, but I’m sure you get the point. The majority of the sites will pay out each month, but there are some that pay out each week or even daily. The best part is that Rake Back offers are FREE to join and there are usually no minimum requirements that you have to play.

What it comes down to is that you are getting FREE money for playing anyways. You are leaving money on the table if you are not using Rake Back.

Discover When You Should Take a Break From the Poker Table

I can bet that you have heard the term TILT if you have been around the game of poker for some time. Basically being on TILT means that you aren’t thinking clearly or you are upset at something that occurred at the poker table. A few things that could set someone on TILT are :

1.       Taking a Bad Beat  - Getting your money in the pot with the best hand only to be outdrawn by a  worse hand

2.       Being shown a Bluff – Sometimes after you fold your opponent will show his terrible hand which can trigger emotions of anger and frustration

3.       Drunk Players at the Table – Although it’s fun to play against people when they have been drinking as they tend to make errors, listening to them yap away is enough to upset anyone

4.       Trash Talker at the Table – This is a tactic some players use to get under your skin. They constantly berate you at the table hoping to get an edge and make you do something stupid to lose all of your chips. (I’m really not a big fan of this approach, but it is effective for some)

That was just a few examples of things that can put you TILT. At any point that you don’t feel like you are making good decisions then it’s probably for the best that you take a break. Poker is all about trying to make good decisions based on the incomplete information that we have in front of us. By not making good decisions and not thinking straight you can really lose a lot of money. Having the right “Poker State of Mind” is critical to your long term poker success. Here are some other examples of things to avoid:

1.       Avoid playing if you are Tired

2.       Don’t play if you are drinking or have been drinking

3.       Don’t play if you want to watch TV

4.       Don’t  answer emails or surf the web

I know sometimes poker can be long in between hands to play so we tend to do other things. If you are an onine player and find yourself getting bored, my suggestion would be to play a few tables at the same time. This will increase your chances of getting good starting hands to play and eliminating boredom. If you still find yourself drifting then maybe you should just quit for the day. You really shouldn’t worry about it, you know you will always be able to play again tomorrow.

The Next Poker Level – How Do You Know When You’re Ready?

Everywhere we turn these days we see something poker related. We hear all of the time of these young kids making crazy money whether it’s on TV, in magazines or at a local bar.You may have heard one of these stories and thought to yourself, “I’m sick of playing my $1, $2 or $10 buy in levels. It’s time for me to start earning some real money.” Unfortunately it’s for this reason why so many players fail at poker. They want to move up too quickly when they don’t have the necessary experience or proper poker bankroll.

SO HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN YOU CAN MOVE UP TO THE NEXT LEVEL?

The answer to this question is really quite easy. Your poker bankroll will tell you.  No I don’t mean your bankroll will actually talk to you, but if you are following strict bankroll requirements (I always recommend 2% of bankroll per buy in) then you know when it will be time to move up.  Here’s an example:

Let’s say you have a bankroll of $1000. $20 should be your buy in amount based on this. Play these games until your poker bankroll has increased to $1500. Now you can increase to the thirty dollar games. If you continue to have success as this level then continue moving up as your bankroll increases.  If your bankroll drops back down under $1500 then move back down to the $20 levels. Contrary to what a lot of people think, moving down levels is not failing. You can continue to improve your game and learn until you move through that level and beyond.

If you continue to follow this model and move up and down when you bankroll requires it you will virtually remove all possibilities of going broke. It will also let you know when you are ready to take on the challenge of the next buy in level. As your game improves and levels increase, you will be amazed by the amounts of money that you are making from a game that we all love.

Is Not Managing Your Bankroll Causing You to Lose at Poker?

You may have heard of the importance of managing your poker bankroll, but why is it so critical to your success? The easy answer to this question is, If you have no money left then you really can’t continue playing. As simple as this concept is and sounds, mismanagement is probably the number one reason why people fail when it comes to playing poker.  People are trying to win too much too fast which usually results in many redeposits  back into the poker sites.

For those of you that are not familiar with the term bankroll, basically it is the amount of money that you have put aside to play poker and nothing else. It should definitely not be money that you need for the necessities like food, rent or clothing. It should be an amount that you can comfortably afford to use and lose playing poker. Here is what I pesonally use and recommend regarding bankroll management.

SNG (Sit n Go’s) – I use 2% or 1/50th of my bankroll for each buy in. For example if you have a $1000 bankroll then you should be playing $20 SNG’s

Multi Table Tournaments (MTT) – I used 1% or 1/100th of my bankroll for each buy in. The reason for this is that usually in MTT’s they only pay the top 10% so you will be cashing less often and you will have more fluctuations  with your overall bankroll.

Cash Games – Use only 2% or 1/50th of each buy in. For example if you were playing $1/$2 NL, the buy in is usually 100 X Big Blind so in this case $200. In my opinion a bankroll of 10K is needed at these levels.

These are the simple guidelines that I have followed to never have to redeposit into my poker site again and as extreme as it seems, will virtually eliminate the possibilities of you going broke. Poker can be a roller coaster ride at times and you will inevitably go through some losing periods. These downswings can cause you to you make bad poker decisions especially if you don’t have enough money behind you to get through them. The old saying “Scared money is losing money” is so true.

Horserace betting

Horseracing sometimes given the name the sport of kings originates from England in the 12th century. This popular sport has come through the last eight centuries and today is popular across the globe. Horserace gambling around the world is big business these days most people just do it for fun or as a hobby however there are some that make a career out of participating in this activity.

Gambling on horse racing in today’s world is a relatively complex and puzzling compared to other sports, there are a whole host of different variables that need to be taken into account from race types to handicapping and different ground conditions. Its no wonder really that so many people lose long term betting on horse racing. The few that do manage to generate profit from the sport do so not through luck but through working hard and being persistent.  There is no short cuts even in gambling to producing consistent profits everyone that succeeds has to put in a lot of time and effort to achieve there end goal.

In a world of globalisation where the entire world is connected through the internet gamblers are spoilt for choice when in comes to having useful resources available to them. Such tools and resource online include staking software and automated betting and trading software. All of these tools are designed to cut down the selection process time and prove very helpful if you can utilise their power properly. Betting systems are also awash across the internet most claming massive potential profits needless to say the bulk of these systems for sale are nothing but junk. The only products that have encountered that produce consistent profits on horseracing thus far are the fp system and the value horse method which I regard as a key part of my current betting portfolio.

In order to be successful at betting you need to have the rite state of mind and attitude, you must place bets for the right reasons, avoid letting emotions cloud your judgement. You must also follow a strict staking plan that is applicable to your betting bank. Failure to follow a proper staking plan could mean bankruptcy when you encounter a losing run, which will inevitably happen a losing run that is.  You must also follow a routine and appropriate strategy don’t be soft on self and stay in bed an extra couple of hours, push yourself to study the races so you can be confident in your racing selections. Give yourself at least one day off a week to take some time out to enjoy your self and finally never chase your loses stick to your stacking plan and constantly revaluate your gambling tactics and strategies.

Getting To Know About Poker Games Other Than Texas Hold’em

For those who prefer action, Omaha or Omaha Hi/Low is a great game. Omaha is played almost in the same manner as Texas Hold’em, the difference being that the player receives 4 hole cards instead of 2. The additional 2 cards almost assure that the best hand available is out there somewhere. One of the fascinating things about a lot of these different types of poker games is that they have Hi/Low versions. This gets the betting pumped up as the hand that has hit is betting like crazy to try and get the chasers out of the action.
Different strategies are required for these varieties of poker games if you want to participate in games where you can scoop the pot. Scoop the pot means to win both the Hi and the Low hands versus only having one dimension of the pot covered. Each pot carries a lot of money owing to all the variables and the 4 hole cards.

Though there is a vast array of poker games to decide from, 7 card stud is an all time favorite. This is also a game that has a Hi/Low version as well. The pattern of dealing is 2 cards face up and then one face down. After a round of betting, each participant gets another card face up. This process goes on until each player has 2 down cards and 4 up cards. This is the time when the final round of betting occurs.

Holdem Stud Poker is different from other poker games like Omaha as it is not a chaser’s game. If your hand does not develop within the first round of betting and solidify on the second up card, you need to get out of the hand. You stand to lose everything. This game also requires memory and concentration as you need to remember all the cards that have been dealt. You cannot afford to lose track of the cards already folded and look for the wrong card. Keep a mental note of the cards on the board.

Another variation on 7 is Razz, a different type of poker game appropriate for people with bad luck. Instead of trying to get the winning hand, you are rooting for the worst hand possible. Unlike other games where having A-2-3-4-6-7-8 will have you banging your head, in Razz it is a dream hand. The method of dealing and betting is the same as 7 stud, the difference is that you need the lowest ranked hand to win. Even here only 5 cards play like in stud.

Triple Draw is another type of poker games that is getting a lot of attention these days. It is full of action and great fun. You can make money with it if you practice discipline. This game is played often at low levels for the fun of it. This game is more or less a version of Razz that uses 5 card draw as its model. You receive 5 cards and a round of betting follows. You can get rid of the cards you do not need but the end result should be a worst possible hand. Getting 2-3-4-5-7 is like a dream come true in standard Triple Draw. After the first draw has been completed, there is another round of betting and then another discard round. After the third and final draw, there will be one more round of betting and then the showdown. Do not forget, no pairs, flushes or straights are required. You only need trash for victory.
